Little one's school closes in July for summer holidays. We are going to India to spend the holidays with his maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents and great grand parents. Only me and Pranav are going now. DH might join us later. I have started making small gifts to take with us. These bookmarks were made for the purpose.
And a small one for Pranav made upon special request. He wanted one to keep in his story books. Iam sure he doesn't know why they are kept. But thats fine.
How sweet that your little boy wanted a bookmark for himself! They look great.
ReplyDeleteLovely bookmarks,Saritha!!
ReplyDeleteOh those bookmarks are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you like my owl cushion, it's basically just out of my head..draw up a basic owl shape with whatever choice of fabric you like, cut out the eye background shape in another fabric (in this case I used two small doilies), two circles in another fabric (optional) pop on some buttons & voila! I usually add little wings to stitch on either side of the belly, kind of a leaf shape, but I thought they might be too much on this one. Does all that make sense? I hope it's helpful, let me know if you have any questions, I should perhaps put together a proper tutorial,hmmm...
Oh, and I forgot to add the beek...again another fabric or felt is nice cut in in a diamond shape & place just below & between the eye background...now I think that's it...other than the stuffing..of course...x
ReplyDeletenice & colorful!
