I learned something new!!Hairpin crochet!! I did this as part of a CAL in Ravelry!! When I joined the CAL I had not even heard about this technique.
But then its always fun to learn new things right? Made these flowers using this tutorial!! If you are new to hairpin crochet like me, I think these are the flowers you should start with. After 3 failed attempts I finally nailed it ( I think I did). And I couldn't stop with just one. I had U hooks of two sizes. Made one flower with each. They can be used as a brooch, on bags, as clips, on photo frames, endless options..
Before I go an itsy bitsy peek into something else I am working on. More about it later. Have fun!!
Those flowers are pretty.
ReplyDeleteHow fun are those? I love how lacey and girly they are! I'll have to find some U-pins to try these out. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteI have a crochet book with hairpin patterns but have never attempted them. Not sure about the u hooks --
