One a Day

Remember, I had mentioned in an earlier post that I have joined One a Day@Gingerbread Girl to finish my Granny throw

Well, I started it last Sunday. Have made 9 squares so far.

I am also weaving in ends of the granny squares I had already made before joining this CAL. That is also being done one a day. Will post progress pictures of the another afghan I am working on in my next post.
Before leaving, let me show you some flowers the husband bought me yesterday!! Have a nice day!!

Weaving in the ends as you go is a good idea. Nothing worse than having to do a lot at the end of a project. Loving your squares - good start - keep going!

I totally agree with Sally... sew every end in possible as you go...I also block as I go too... then I can really look forward to finishing instead of dreading hours of fiddly sewing and pinning.. Love your granny squares..beautiful spring colours :)x

Your blog is full of lots of gorgeous colours. I like the green you are using it really stands out. Clever you sewing your ends in.......dreaded ends!

I also hate to sew in all those loose ends in the end. It is a good idea to do this while you go. I love all your happy colours!
Have a nice week! Barbina

I was just thinking today that I need to get busy with sewing in some ends! The advantage of the round ripple is no sewing up at the end but the ends are beginning to frighten me!
Beautiful colours for your project.

I love your blog - it's so pretty! Your squares look great and I think having one colour that binds them altogether is a great idea.

Love your pictures! The wool looks so soft, I just want to touch it! LOL I am also trying to weave in some ends as I go. I noticed the other day that it would be a rather big job if left till the end.

Hi Saritha,
Thank you very much for your kind words and best wish to me and my family. I'm also sorry for your mother illness, and that's great she has been recovered, I'm so happy for you! I'm living with my parents too, hope my father will complete recover soon. Thanks for sharing!
By the way, I love your granny squares, and love the idea of a granny a day! Very beautiful work!
Lovely day to you too!
Love and hugs, LS

I detest sewing in the ends, so am trying to do it on completion of each sqyare, and as it's once a day, it doesn't bug me quite so much! Good start on the blanket :)

I really like your granny squares. And you're very good sewing in the ends as you go - I know I'm going to regret not doing that once I've finished!
